the FIRE in my SOUL
                                      a non-profit organization
Welcome to the FIRE in my SOUL!
A Message from our Founder

As I reflect on my life and the extremely disturbing change it took on a cold January day in 1969, I
realize that my terrible experience was simply a part of my preparation to do something great for
others.  I understand more and more each day that my story though unique in its twists and turns
could have been the fate of anybody, but I endured this tragedy for the express purpose of moving
closer to my function in life. So, it is personally satisfying for me to introduce the newly formed
non-profit organization named the
FIRE in my SOUL foundation.

the
FIRE in my SOUL foundation will be dedicated to assisting physically, psychologically, and
emotionally scarred victims of senseless acts of violence as they persevere and continue living
high functioning lives.  Our goal is to provide financial provisions when needed, create a network of
survivors who will act as a support group that exemplifies the human spirit, and we also wish to
provide access to information outlining state-of-the-art psychiatric/psychological and physical
therapy methods that have proven track records of utilizing effective and innovative approaches to
treating a very special population.
